About Me

Welcome and thanks for visiting my blog!  My name is Alicia.  I have been married to my wonderful husband, Chris for 11 years.  We have two beautiful children, Ava and Tyler.  I love to bargain shop, repurpose things in my home to save money and I'm passionate about creating something from nothing.  I am inspired by others creativity and love to create an expensive look for less!  Join me on this journey of learning, creating and decorating!

Who I Am...

I am... a christian, wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin and friend.
I want... a dog for my kids.
I have... a wonderful family!
I wish... we lived closer to extended family.
I hate... how sad life can be for those who don't know Him.
I fear... the future, I am a total worrier. I don't like that about myself.
I hear... voices like Adele, Sarah McLachlan, Lady Antebellum and can't help but sing along.
I search... for balance in life.  For the Lord in my life.  For great DIY inspiration.
I wonder... what life would be like if my paternal grandparents were still alive.  I miss them terribly!
I regret... that my Grandfather wasn't alive when I married and had my first child. I'm glad Chris met him.
I love... SWEETS!  Especially cinnamon and chocolate OR peanut Butter and chocolate!  YUM!
I ache... for old people that are lonely.  Guess that's why I studied Social Work with the Elderly.
I always... kiss my children good night and tell them "I love you!"
I usually... don't wear makeup.  Also, if you see me without my glasses, it's probably a special occasion.
I am not... a morning person.  Oh, and I'm not good at doing my hair.
I dance... only when intoxicated... and that's not very often.  I have two left feet!
I sing... to the radio... ALL THE TIME!
I never... keep things the same.  Always changing something... furniture placement, home decor, etc.
I sometimes... reminisce about the past and wonder where time has gone.
I cry... too freaking easily.
I am not always... the best about calling people back, or keeping my phone charged!  Sorry friends!
I lose... my cool when people mess with my kids.  Watch out for Mama Bear!
I am confused... by people who think they are better than everyone else.
I need... my parents/in-laws to live closer.  I wish they saw their grandchildren more often.
I should... be more intentional with keeping up long-distance friendships.
